This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration manager specialising in ERP migrations, to join our growing Data Driven Transformation team with a focus on delivering data migrations and building out our services surround ERP data migrations. You will work in fast-paced, cross-functional project teams utilising the latest technologies to deliver cutting-edge and transformational analytics solutions for our clients across a range of industries.
The DDT team is at an exciting stage in its growth, with significant investment in developing pioneering analytical products in the data, analytics, and visualisation space. These capitalise on KPMG’s alliances with Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Google and other technology partners.
The Data Migration Manager role will support our growth ambitions by playing an active part in these projects. It will suit a technically minded individual with a knack for managing large and complex data projects. The right candidate will be enthusiastic about work in a fast-moving environment with exposure to lots of different client challenges and will be ready to make an impact on our projects from day one.
What will you be doing?
Defining an appropriate data migration strategy based on input from our client.
Overseeing and ensuring delivery of all aspects of data analysis, mapping and creation of a data transfer process using an industry standard tool.
Overseeing and ensuring delivery of the testing and reconciliation of data migrated against source systems.
Project management of the data migration.
Defining the overall cutover approach with consideration for the impact on the client’s business process.
Defining and assessing the impact of any changes to scope on the time, cost and quality of the migration.
Developing and pitching proposals to a client which demonstrate a clear understanding of their business and how KPMG is able to support them.
Contributing to the building of the data migration practice through the creation of new propositions and products.
Leading project team, including directing the day-to-day workloads and reviewing outputs from team members
Engagement Management role, with responsibility for project-level budgeting, resourcing, risk management, WIP management, and scope management
What will you need to do it?
Proven experience of creating a data migration strategy
Practical experience of ERP migrationsTeam and people management including offshore and nearshore consultants.
An understanding of financial accounting principles and double entry bookkeeping in a data migration context.Extract/transform/load tooling
Project management
Data Migration reconciliation and testing
Experience in data cleansing and manipulation and knowledge of at least one database language
Experience of managing complex stakeholder groups in high pressure situations.
Experience of managing people and their development in a high performing culture.Experience of strong Project and associated Risk Management.
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
ERP ERP Data Migration experience
Oracle/Oracle Netsuite Data migration experience.Experience with Azure cloud environment
A degree or professional certification in Data Analytics or Computer Science
