The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to join our Finance Transformation team, focusing on delivering financial reporting technology solutions to our Banking clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial reporting processes specific to the banking industry, a strong understanding of financial reporting technologies, and a proven track record of successfully leading complex implementation projects within banking environments.

Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement:
• Lead and manage client engagements related to financial reporting technology implementations specifically for banking clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at banks.
• Understand the unique business needs of banking institutions and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the banking context.
• Solution Delivery:
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of financial reporting solutions using various technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workiva, BlackLine, Tagetik, OneStream) within banking environments.
• Manage project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, considering the specific constraints and regulations of the banking industry.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with banking industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, CCAR, Dodd-Frank).
• Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective banking clients.
• Develop proposals and presentations to showcase KPMG's capabilities in financial reporting technology for the banking sector.
• Contribute to the development of thought leadership and marketing materials specific to financial reporting challenges and solutions in banking.
• Participate in industry events and conferences focused on banking and financial technology to build KPMG's brand and network.
• Practice Development:
• Contribute to the development of KPMG's Finance Transformation practice, with a focus on the banking sector.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in financial reporting within the banking industry.
• Develop and maintain internal knowledge assets and methodologies specific to banking financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in finance transformation, with a focus on financial reporting technology, specifically within the banking industry.
• Deep understanding of financial reporting processes specific to banking (e.g., regulatory reporting, capital adequacy reporting, liquidity reporting).
• Experience implementing financial reporting solutions such as SAP, Oracle, Workiva, BlackLine, Tagetik, or OneStream in banking environments.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex implementation projects in the banking sector.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, CPA, PMP) are a plus.
