People Consulting (PC) is an integral part of KPMG’s Management Consultancy practice and a fast-growing part of the business. The team helps to transform the performance of organisations by changing the way people are led, managed, and developed.  KPMG do this by focusing on delivering the people agenda on large scale complex transformational change programmes and transforming the HR function.  

 

The People Consulting practice is organized into two core pillars: People Centric Transformation and HR. People Centric transformation covers a range of capabilities including Behavioural Change Management, Learning, Organisation Design for Performance, Culture and Leadership, Talent Management, and Workforce Transformation.  HR covers a wide set of capabilities related to the HR Function- the operating model, transformation & HR Technology. 

 

KPMG are seeking a People Consulting Director with experience of leading the delivery of large-scale People Centric Transformation work-streams with a specific focus on technology/digital implementations. Candidates will need to have a proven track record of working with S4 Hana and other technologies such as MS Dynamics, and will ideally have experience of working with large global corporates, with a functional alignment to Adoption and Change Management.  

 

Role and responsibilities

 

This is a high-profile role in the team, with responsibility for the successful execution of complex digital transformation programmes across a wide number of accounts; requiring a balance of business development / sales origination, exceptional client delivery and leadership.

 

The appointed candidate will:

  • Be a key part of the Sectors People Consulting leadership team; contributing to overall practice strategy and development
  • Drive the focus on the Organisational Transformation agenda and people implications of digital transformation programmes, automation, and connected operating model changes such as offshoring, outsourcing, managed services, etc.
  • Work closely with Partners and Directors across Management Consulting to drive business growth and deliver outstanding client work
  • Take a significant role in leading the growth of the team and wider practice, as a role model, coach, and mentor, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of team members.
  • Lead the senior level conversations on the People Consulting and technology enabled  transformation agenda with our Sectors clients
  • Drive business development and sales initiatives including bid, proposal and contract / commercial negotiations with our Sectors teams.    

Experience/Skills

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess substantial experience of working with S4Hana to deliver large scale technology change
  • Have established themselves in the marketplace as an SME in People Centric transformation – with a leading focus on technology enabled change mgt.
  • Have experience of working with SAP and Microsoft products.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record on leading large and multi-disciplinary teams- working with technology, & functional capabilities such as Finance, procurement and supply chain.
  • Create compelling client and employee stories to win hearts and minds of senior stakeholders, along with excellent personal, written, and oral presentation skills 
  • Have a deep interest and significant experience across a number of the following areas: Organisation Transformation, Behavioural Change Management, Change Leadership, Organisation Design and alignment, Culture and engagement, People transition and Technology adoption, training and implementation.
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development
  • Be able to generate thought leadership, delivering strong viewpoints in the market to both create new thinking and drive new business opportunities 
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness evidenced by an ability to identify business opportunities, drawing on large corporates knowledge and leveraging existing networks.
  • Ideally the candidate has varied experience from a consulting background as well as industry in leading these types of transformation programmes.

In addition, KPMG are looking for someone who is a natural team player with a strong focus and flair for people development and team leadership.  Finally, the candidate should have strong commercial acumen, hunger to learn and develop and be able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
