Job description

The Role
The role will be working in the UK Cyber Security practice within Connected Technology – Technology Risk. Our clients are increasingly under cyber-attack and regulatory scrutiny to demonstrate effective management of cyber risk. Our specialists provide independent, jargon free advice and advanced technical capabilities to help our clients proactively manage cyber and technology risks to drive value from their business information assets whilst protecting business.

 Our cyber security services are defined within three capability groups: -    Cyber Risk, Resilience and Privacy
-    IAM and cloud security 
-    Cyber Threat Management


We provide cyber security services to clients across four coverage groups:
-    Financial Services 
-    Sectors

-    Infrastructure, Government and Health

This is a Director role focused on delivering cyber security and transformation services in our Healthcare team (as part of Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare). As a Director you will have the opportunity to drive growth across all of our services and a key emphasis will be on growth and safe delivery of current engagements to clients.
The Director role covers three key areas (Market Focus, Issues Led and Culture & Motivation):
-    Lead the enhancement and development of a growth strategy for Health and Care working in collaboration with other members of the IGH cyber and Connected Technology teams and our alliance partners. This will include defining the vision, objectives and plan and oversee the implementation of this. 
-    Grow our current footprint to meet market demand and clients’ issues whilst exploiting the adjacencies across our current engagements.

-    Build relationships with other parts of the firm (e.g. Cloud Transformation, Cloud Engineering, Technology Risk) to bind offerings together.
-    Lead our relationships with alliance partners to drive collaboration and sales opportunities. 
-    Lead and maintain our people capability by managing and developing the technical skills of the team and growing our team.
In IGH:
-    Originate and lead on sales opportunities. 
-    Develop relationships internally and externally and build a pipeline of opportunities and/or sell engagements to clients.
-    Lead the delivery of security engagements. 
-    Define the people requirements (e.g. skills, experience, etc.) to strengthen our team of security resources and lead the recruitment of these resources.


Reporting to the Lead Cyber Security Partner for IGH the Director role involves:
-    Taking accountability for the delivery of IGH security engagements in Healthcare and leading multiple engagements on a day to day basis with the assistance of Senior Managers/Managers in the team.
-    Being responsible for expanding our cyber transformation services in the IGH sector. -    Providing leadership and collaborating with people across the coverage groups on the cloud security service line to deliver a clear and unified strategy. 
-    Leading IGH sales origination/business development initiatives and acting as an integral part of the broader Technology and Cyber Security leadership team.
-    Contributing to the overall IGH cyber security strategy by identifying where there are opportunities for growth and developing the strategy to capitalise on cyber security risk opportunities in this sector.
-    Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CIO, CRO, COO, CISO or Head of Technology level) across a range of IGH organisations.
-    Actively identifying and progressing IGH business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations. 
-    Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG.
-    Coaching and developing team members as part of our overall performance management process or on specific engagements.
-    Contributing to practice management e.g. training, knowledge management, thought leadership, etc. 
-    Travelling in the UK to regional offices and in particular regularly attending the Canary Wharf offices; and travelling in the UK or internationally supporting client delivery where required. This expectation will align with government and firm policy on Covid-19 working arrangements. 
-    Acting in line with KPMG’s values at all times.
 
The Person
-    Batchelor degree qualification (or equivalent)
-    Experience of working in Healthcare and/or with large, complex organisations.
-    Experience of working at the senior level as an Engagement Leader.
-    Commercially aware and with industry relationships that will enable achievement of revenue in the region of £1.5+ million per year.
-    Wide industry exposure with a depth of technical security knowledge and experience in cyber security transformation and capability building. 
-    Experience and knowledge of the unique challenges facing clients in the Healthcare and IGH sector; with a particular focus on technology, cyber security and the National Cyber Strategy.   
-    Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and delivering cyber security and technology advisory and assurance services to large complex clients. 
-    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience, extensive relevant sales experience, negotiation and project management skills.
-    Sound understanding of risk management in professional services environment.
-    Extensive Cyber Security consulting experience is desirable.
