Banking Operations is at the heart of delivering large scale transformation programmes across the Banking sector. The team’s primary function is to drive the delivery and fulfilment of our Banking client engagements. We bring together deep industry experience with strong operational excellence capability and experience to deliver sustainable world-class capabilities for our clients.

Role Requirements:

- Successful candidates will operate as integral parts of the Banking Operations team to deliver the following managing work streams or entire projects through all of the key stages of a project, from initiation to implementation.
- Planning, leading and performing Operational Resilience analysis and assessments using proven methodologies.
- Designing and developing an Operational Resilience strategy, target operating model and implementation plan.
- Facilitating client workshops to scope and design transformational solutions; including strategies and target operating models.
- Identifying and rolling out optimisation opportunities within a payments function.
- Developing Open Banking propositions from inception to go to market.
- Identifying, managing and mitigating risks and issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Developing and continually improving solutions, methodologies and tools to deliver consistent world class operating excellence capability.
- Building elements of our ‘Go to Market’ plans with Delivery Specialists and Managers.
- Contributing capability experience to FS Operations bids and other bids and engagements as SME in your field of expertise.
- Be an active expert within our Banking capability team – supporting the leaders within the firm to shape and deliver our growth strategy.
- Understanding and being able to apply broader solutions and capabilities from across KPMG and KPMG Advisory.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

- Identification of and execution of opportunities to enhance banking processes through development of strategies and optimisation Target Operating Models.
- Deep understanding and experience of the Banking industry, its business processes and underlying technologies, and the ability to identify and articulate resultant client opportunities and challenges.
- Broad global banking experience, identifying key insights and global trends across Banking Industry.
- Experience of Operational Resilience within the Banking Industry, with experience of developing strategies, target operating models and implementation roadmaps.
- Knowledge and experience of testing Operational Resilience processes with clients, as well as making continuous improvements to their processes.
- Knowledge of and experience with Open Banking and potential propositions across multiple industries.
- Knowledge of digital and payments, including latest market developments, emerging technologies, hot topics and their application to real life business problems.
- Established Business Analyst skills including experience in documenting business and technology requirements, process mapping and conducting client and customer interviews and workshops.
- Customer research and analysis experience and skills.
- An understanding of transformational methodologies such as Prince2 and Agile.
- The ability to identify commercial and sales opportunities and to define consulting solutions in response.
- Experience in problem identification, solving and design for both user and business needs.

Experience in more than one of the following subject areas: business models, operating model design and implementation, change management methods, project and programme methods, process design, technology and automation, analytics and business case creation
Experience in multiple sectors & industries is desirable – eg: public/private, consumer, financial services, pharma, technology, media, infrastructure, energy, and utilities

The Role
