Audit is the largest of KPMG UK's practices, providing independent challenge and delivering quality audits to organisations of all shapes and sizes. Audit requires a deep understanding of the company, their controls, processes and systems as well as their aims and the risks they face. Audit helps to assure stakeholders that published accounts are 'true and fair’. Working in audit equips you with valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of one or more industry sectors and business as a whole.
This programme is aimed primarily at students of Black heritage seeking an insight into a career in Audit. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about our business and develop your professional skills – it could even lead to an offer for an autumn 2022 Audit graduate programme. We’re looking for individuals from any degree discipline who are curious, ambitious and passionate about a career in Audit.
During your Insight experience, you’ll have the chance to meet people from Audit who make KPMG an inspiring place to work and explore our variety of opportunities available. Over two days you'll network with our colleagues, learn more about what we do and the difference we make to the companies we work with, and the communities we work in.
Whilst on the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to take an assessment, and if successful, you could secure a position on one of our 2022 graduate Audit programmes. You may be asked to provide a preference for an Audit programme that you’d like to specialise in – the programmes we expect to be available for the Audit Insight programme are as follows:
Please note that although we will do our best to fulfil your preference, we recruit on a rolling basis and cannot guarantee that all programmes will be available at the point you are asked to provide a preference, or in every office location.
Our Black Heritage Talent Insight programme is aimed primarily at students of Black heritage. By Black heritage, we mean students who might identify as Black, African, Caribbean, Black British or Mixed/Multiple ethnic groups: White and Black Caribbean, White and Black African.
Programme length: 2 days
As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements (*or equivalents)
- Minimum Grade B GCSE* Maths
- Minimum Grade B GCSE* English Language
- Minimum of 120 UCAS points* under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level
- Minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline
Please note – we only consider a candidate's 'top' 3 A-Level grades and do not accept General Studies. And you need to have graduated already or be in the final year at university to be eligible for this programme.
At KPMG, we look at more than just your academic results. We will review your application, together with your performance in our assessments, to ensure that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We will be considering your strengths and achievements alongside a number of other metrics, including technical background and/or experience, to ensure that you have the skills to succeed at KPMG.
Throughout the recruitment process we will be looking to learn more about your strengths.
To be successful on this programme, you will be required to demonstrate the strengths that we look for in our graduates at KPMG.

Training and development
As the Insight programme isn't that long, your focus will be to ensure every second counts. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, enhance your CV, learn about the world of work and, importantly, get your foot in the door of one of the leading professional services firms. And if you're inspired by the time you spend with us here, and go on to join us full-time once you've graduated, you'll get access to exemplary training and development.
Additional important information
This is a 2 day virtual paid Insight programme and will run 11th – 12th July 2022. You will be paid a salary equivalent to the living wage salary.
If you are successful in passing the final stage of our process, the Delivering Outcomes Assessment, we may reach out to you to discuss graduate programme preferences. Your preference will be considered, however, cannot be guaranteed.
Please note – graduate conversion offers will be subject to candidates having obtained the minimum academic requirements for that particular graduate programme. Further information on our graduate programmes and their academic requirements can be found here.
